I show of my sadness
And I beg of your care
Pleading with my honest eyes
For my broken soul is in there.
In these modern times I have nowhere
to go
But you all pass me by as you hurry
on so.
You don’t see my sadness or my plight!
As you quickly hurry along in the cold
dark night.
I`m feeling so cold with nothing to eat
With my threadbare clothes and my
frostbitten feet!
I just look at you and I hope that you
can really see
Not the state my body is in, but the real
me.
Please come and speak to me, for you
have that choice
I’m the one who is helpless and without
a voice!
Love will solve so many problems for
me and for others
And it`s the answer to the millions of
our sisters and brothers.
Your love will take the cloak from your
unseeing eyes
And teach things you didn’t know and
how to empathise.
Love is the wavelength on which you
need to be
And your compassion could very well
save the likes of me.
