SpongeBob is heading to Tyneside for Easter
THIS Easter, egg-cited children will have the opportunity to meet SpongeBob SquarePants, the ocean’s funniest sponge, and dive into the underwater world of Bikini Bottom for fun and laughter at both intu Metrocentre and intu Eldon Square.
In partnership with Nickelodeon, the centres will be hosting a SpongeBob SquarePants Laughter Party.
Visitors will be able to try interactive fun and games, including a Limbo Challenge, Hysterical Prank classes and Musical Pant bumps. Activities are free, with no booking required and are open to all ages, but are particularly suitable for children in pre-school and early years. There’s also a competition to win a family break to Nickelodeon Land at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Karen Carr, regional marketing manager for intu, North, says: “SpongeBob SquarePants certainly brings laughter with him wherever he goes, and we can't wait to meet him and enjoy all of the free fun activities that he will be bringing to Eldon Square and Metrocentre."
The Eldon Square visit is March 29 and Metrocentre is April 5. It will be necessary to book a slot if children would like to meet SpongeBob SquarePants, and families can pick up free wristbands in advance from the Customer Service Desk near Debenhams at Eldon Square (from Saturday, March 19), and the Here to Help Lounge in the lower Blue Mall at Metrocentre (from Saturday, March 26).
