HE’LL not be a new name to the country fans, but for the uninitiated Easton Corbin is doing big business in country music circles. He made history in 2010, with his self-titled debut album, by becoming the first solo male artist in 17 years to have his first two single releases reach the Number One slot in the Billboard Country Songs Chart.

He was nominated as New Artist of The Year by the Country Music Association and won the New Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Single and Video of the Year titles at the American Country Awards.

Now, his second album is available in Britain this week. The 11 tracks are a great new set of songs, of which he has co-written two.

His vocals at times remind me of George Strait and Keith Whitley. His first single release from the album, entitled Lovin’ You Is Fun, has already enjoyed Billboard Chart success and reached number seven. As a taster, I’ll be playing three tracks on this weeks American Connection Show on euvue.co.uk from Saturday morning, join me for a listen. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
