This is a very well realised project arranged by Mark Masters featuring baritone saxophonist Gary Smulyan accompanied by a saxophone section of Gary Foster, Don Shelton, Pete Christlieb and Gene Cipriano. With a rhythm section of Bill Cunliffe, Tom Warrington and Joe La Barbera, a great programme of songs by Ellington saxophonists, and Smulyan in peak form, this is surely a winner.
