The young dynamic violinist Nicola Benedetti presents a selection of music immortalised on the big screen from the 1930s onwards. The album includes Korngold’s Violin Concerto and Williams (theme from Schindler’s List), Shostakovich (The Gadfly) and Mahler (Shutter Island). An enjoyable disc.
