SUZY Bogguss, Matraca Berg and Gretchen Peters have each carved their own niche in the world of music and the trio’s Wine, Women and Song tour came to a close earlier this week with an appearance at Glastonbury.
Such is their popularity they have built up Full House signs wherever they perform, the last North-East date being The Sage, Gateshead.
The show is a great relaxing night of entertainment with each providing many of their hit songs along with trio accompaniment, and tales of experiences, and cheeky banter (often provided by Bogguss).
Berg and Peters say they are never too sure what she is going to come out with next.
If you have been unfortunate enough to miss their performances you can catch up with a taste of “the girls night out” in the comfort of your own home.
A DVD was filmed at Green’s Grocery store at Liepers Fork in Tennessee earlier this year and is out now. Besides 11 complete songs and great banter the viewer is treated to a visit from a local tornado as, during the performance, a power cut and a change of venue occur.
This is all captured in semi-documentary footage and adds to the proceedings.Order on myspace.com/winewomen or, for a complete radio interview, log on to showbiz.euvue.co.uk/wine-women-and-songinterview- part-1-of-5/
