US pop star Britney Spears is to play her first ever North-East gig.
The 29-year-old singer and dancer will be at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on November 3.
It is part of her Femme Fatale tour, which kicked off earlier this month across the Atlantic.
She said: "I can't wait to come back to the UK and perform for my fans there, it's been too long."
Her latest tour has been described as her raunchiest yet and follows on from her album of the same name.
Born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, Spears began performing as a child, landing acting roles in stage productions and television shows.
She is ranked as the eighth best-selling female musician in America and has sold more than 90 million albums and 35 million singles worldwide.
An arena spokesman said: "Britney Spears has continually captivated crowds around the world with her live music events, "She has prepared an extraordinary show that promises to be her greatest ever."
Tickets costing £55 will go on sale at 9am on Friday and can be booked by calling 0844-493-6666 or in person at the box office.
