THIS one would be at home in a West End musical, with it’s powerful lyrics and a voice which makes you sit up and take notice.
We can feel this lady’s pain with this anguished, theatrical outburst, and she ‘aint going to take no prisoners.
Her cries are personified by each strike of the piano, yet her voice also has a sweet, vulnerable quality and I can’t help feeling the need to throw my arms around her. I like the simplicity of the music against her voice. The one fear is that it will turn up as the backing track for the next Grey’s Anatomy trailer.
