WITH the family skeletons safety out of the cupboard, Steady Eddie Moon, who looks uncannily like David Essex, can get on with doing what folk in Soapland like most – snogging. The recipient of moist lushness of his lusty lips in EastEnders (BBC1) is none other than Carol, a woman last seen getting touchy-feely with a toyboy.

Eddie and Carol have been getting along okay after he put his plunger in her sink at the cafe. There’s nothing like removing a blockage to get Carol going.

But he turned down her offer to take him out for a drink as a thank you.

But Eddie continues to help Carol’s grandson Liam repair an old fruit machine (should he be encouraging the youngster to gamble?). Carol reckons Eddie is lonely and looking for more uses for his plunger, so she invites him out of lunch. She reckons he’d be a handy man to have around if her sink gets bunged up again.

One thing leads to another, leads to another, leads to Eddie locking lips with Carol. So does he fancy her or does he have an ulterior motive?

Shocks all round as Tamwar and Afia’s wedding day approaches. The couple reveal that they’re already wed, that they got hitched months ago and didn’t tell anyone. This is the least of the couple’s worries. Tamwar’s father Masood is at war with his wife Zainab who used to be married to Afia’s father. Masood is shut out of the wedding but decides to gatecrash anyway.

Things aren’t any quieter in the Rovers Return in Coronation Street (ITV1). Balmy Becky is back and tries to take control of the pub from new bar manager Stella. Then she has a go at estranged hubby Steve.

She makes out she’s been sleeping with other men, causing Steve to say he wants a divorce and is going off to see his brother Andy. Meanwhile Stella is tackling the local criminals. When she goes to the bookies to place a bet she finds a violent robbery taking place. She doesn’t take it lying down and half kills the unfortunate robber by giving his balaclava a good twist.

Having two women on the go, especially a mother and daughter, is proving too much of a handful for young farmer Up-And-Adam in Emmerdale (ITV1).

So he dumps both Sin-der-Ella and her daughter Mamma Mia. Having been caught out by his mother, Adam realises that having a foot in both camps, so to speak, is far too risky.
