INOFFENSIVE and unremarkable, Painted Like a Picture retells Townsend’s life up to this point.
A decent enough singer, he intertwines his vocals with a pleasant guitar-based soundtrack.
It’s not bad, it’s just not great and I’m not sure I’d be able to remember too much about it after a day or two.
That said, he will probably go on to become the biggest singer-songwriter of our generation.
