JACK ALLSOPP – also known by the stage name Just Jack – is a growing English pop superstar and in the almost full venue there was a raw feeling of anticipation in the crowd.
Jack’s set mostly consisted of material from his new album All Night Cinema, and this sees Jack at his best.
The tracks are genre busting, and are all packed with infectious, catchy hook laden tunes.
The album conjures and creates its very own tale on each track and musically dazzles.
Lyrically Jack finds himself talking about everything from the sublime to the ordinary, expressively depicting life in England in his very own inimitable way.
Throughout his time on stage, the floor of the Academy was vibrating with the number of people bouncing up and down simultaneously.
Just Jack puts on a loud and energetic performance and the excited audience sang and danced along to every song.
Single Embers was the show stealer and the crowd went wild.
The track is enforced by multi-layered sounds and strings which enhance the sentiments and lyrics of the track beautifully.
The Day I Die wrapped around Jack’s razor-sharp lyrics and acute observations.
Everyone looks like they are enjoying themselves so there’s no stopping for Jack, and it’s always a bonus when an artist confirms they’re enjoying things as much as you are.
