IF you’re a Channel Four TV viewer and you watch the US series True Blood then you may have noticed the music that accompanies the opening credits.
The song, Bad Things, has already been released here as a single and it is taken from Jace Everett’s new album.
He hit the country scene in 2005 with a self-titled album which gave him the chance to amplify some of his country roots heroes such as Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Ray Charles.
This third album is more of a rock offering with only one or two tracks retaining country sounds. While the tracks are pretty unique, this isn’t an album for the hard-core traditional country fan who was weaned on George Jones, Merle Haggard and Hank Williams.
The album is released on November 16 and if you like the sound and styling of Bad Things then you’ll love the album.
■ If you’re in London on November 17 you catch catch a live performance at The Monto Water Rats venue
