BASED on Bryan Burrough’s book Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave And The Birth Of The FBI, 1933-34, writer-director Michael Mann’s film is a biopic of American Depression-era bank robber John Dillinger and his team of men who operated on the fringes of the law.

Dillinger (Depp) and his associate ‘Red’ Hamilton (Clarke) spring a number of their cohorts from Indiana State Penitentiary and head for Chicago and rob banks. J Edgar Hoover (Crudup) enlists the services of tenacious agent Melvin Purvis (Bale) to hunt down Dillinger and prove the power of the fledgling Federal Bureau of Investigation. Dillinger makes the fatal mistake of falling in love with Billie Frechette (Cotillard).

At the airport, Harvey he encounters survey-taker Kate (Thompson) and light-hearted banter sows the seeds of a friendship that blossoms into more.

Last Chance Harvey is a gently paced and incredibly charming romance set against the backdrop of bustling, modern-day London.

PELT-clad primitives Zed (Black) and Oh (Cera) are incompetent and lazy and banished from the tribe. On an epic quest, the misfits encounter colourful characters including feuding brothers Cain (Cross) and Abel (Rudd), and Abraham (Azaria) and his son Isaac (Mintz-Plasse). Zed and Oh arrive in Sodom, where the flamboyant high priest (Platt) threatens to sacrifice the buddies’ sweethearts Maya (Raphael) and Eema (Temple). Year One is a ramshackle road movie through the Paleolithic era that squanders the talents of the two leads.
