NOW in its 19th year, the Great North Country and Western Festival at Barford Meadow Events Centre, Barnard Castle, on July 21-26, promises to present some of the best acts on the circuit.
As usual this six-day event offers camping facilities and tickets can be purchased for the full event, single days or single afternoon and evening performances.
Children under six are admitted free, and facilities and a playarea are provided to keep them amused just in case they get tired of the music.
Western fans are catered for by having their own camping area in the guise of Dodge City where fast draw competitions and gunfights are held.
Artists already booked to appear include The Diesel Cowboys, Lazy Dog, Shooter, Nicki Gillis, Kay D and the Redneck Rodeo, The Del Rio Ramblers, Raising Cain, Hillbilly DeLuxe, The Kenny Johnson Band, Soggy Bottom Boys, Union Central, The Crown Top Kings, Dillinger, Trading With The Natives, Aiden J Daniels and Atlanta, The Great North Opry Company, Barbary Coast, The Hanks and Little Rock.
