MANY years ago, country entertainer Moe Bandy told me to take a listen out for a new female artist who duetted with him on Lets Get Over Them Together.

He told me her name was Becky Hobbs and that she was destined for great things.

A couple of years later I saw Hobbs perform at the Peterborough Country Music Festival and realised what he meant. She was, and is, one of the bubbliest entertainers you could ever come across.

A country colleague once described her as the female Jerry Lee Lewis and she’s known to her friends as The Beckaroo. Her songs that have been recorded by artists like Alabama (Angels Among Us), Conway Twitty (I Want To Know You Before We Make Love), Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Helen Reddy, George Jones and Shirley Bassey.

Her latest release takes in the 21 most requested songs.

From The opening track, Jones On The Jukebox, through the gentle She Broke Her Promise to the final Hottest Ex In Texas, she proves why she is respected as a singer and songwriter.

If you love great country music then you must add this Becky Hobbs album to your collection. You can check out more on beckyhobbs.com
