A BEAR meets a boy in the forest, crying because he’s lost – and because his mum says the forest is full of ferocious wild beasts!
On hearing this, the bear is terrified too, so he throws in his lot with the boy and they travel on together.
Soon they meet an elephant, a lion, a crocodile, a wolf and a python – who all share the same fear.
Then they hear a terrible sound that must surely be the dreaded beast itself stomping through the undergrowth... But instead it turns out to be Mum, roaring crossly at the boy for going into the forest!
A splendidly told picture story with wonderful animal pictures. (Age 3-6)
