A RIP-ROARING comedy music show featuring classic Rat Pack numbers and an outrageous injection of big band swing is heading to County Durham.
Crooners is set to entertain audiences at the Gala Theatre in Durham on Friday, 22 March, at 7.30pm, as part of its critically acclaimed UK tour.
The exhilarating show follows the story of three very British gentlemen who exude all the characteristics of a crooner - suave, self-assured and stylish – as they defend their place in the modern world.
Accompanied by the talented nine-piece band The Mini Big Band, the Crooners will perform much-loved songs made famous by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Matt Monro, Nat King Cole and Bobby Darin.
Expect superb renditions of Lady is a Tramp, Come Fly With Me, L.O.V.E, When You’re Smiling, Fly Me To The Moon, Beyond The Sea, Mack The Knife and many more.
Add hilarious one-liners and laugh out loud silliness into the mix and Crooners has all the makings of a fabulous night out.
Robin Byers, manager of the Gala Theatre, said: “Crooners has been wowing audiences across the country so we are excited to welcome these amazing musicians to the Gala.
“The show combines the glamour of the Rat Pack with big band swing and tongue in cheek comedy. It’s the perfect way to spend a Friday night.”
