A RECITAL by a talented young Russian-Israeli pianist will open the new seasons for the Darlington Piano Society.
Boris Giltburg clinched the Opus Klassik Soloist Recording of the Year Award at the inaugural Opus Klassik awards celebrating recorded classical music n Germany.
The international demand for audiences to see him perform will take him across the world during the next six months, with dates in North America, Chile, Holland, Belgium, Ireland, London’s Wigmore Hall and Darlington.
He will open the Society's season in the Dolphin Centre at 3pm on Sunday, October 21, with works by Beethoven, Ravel Prokofiev and his own arrangement of Shostakovich’s third string quartet.
Tickets are £12 or £6 for those under 21 and are available in the Dolphin Centre or on the door.
