Teenage Cancer Trust's (TCT) Bandstand event, sponsored by mobile network 3, will take place in Newcastle's The Sage, Gateshead on Saturday September 22.
The exciting line-up is set to include The Who's Roger Daltrey, comedian Vic Reeves and Geordie legend Jimmy Nail alongside other UK music and comedy talent. Bandstand promises to be a spectacular night, as well as an important fundraiser for TCT.
The event, now in its second year, is raising funds to support young people with cancer across the North of England and to help build a new state-of-the-art Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI). The six bed ward is expected to open in late 2008.
Roger Daltrey, a patron of TCT, said, "Teenage Cancer Trust units give our teenagers the moral support to help fight this terrible disease. We need more of them so that every teenager in the UK can have access to one".
John Penberthy-Smith, marketing director at 3, added, "TCT is a really worthwhile cause, achieving great things for young people all over the UK. We're proud to support Bandstand helping to ensure that their great work is able to continue".
Tickets for Bandstand are priced at £60 / £40 and are available now from: www.teenagecancertrust.org/bandstand www.ticketmaster.co.uk www.thesagegateshead.co.uk or by calling 0191 443 4661.
