IF you're a Heartbeat fan, you'll probably have some of Nicholas Rhea's Constable novels, if not all.
Constable On The Coast is the 32th instalment in the series which inspired the hugely successful TV series and is the brainchild of former North Yorkshire police inspector Peter N Walker, who writes under the pen name Nicholas Rhea.
Constable Nick is sent to help out his colleagues at the seaside resort of Strensford. As it's the height of the holiday season, Nick has his hands full and there are plenty of cases to solve and criminals to catch to keep him very busy.
In one case a bottle with a message is washed up on shore which points to a girl being held hostage and in another a hunt for teenage runaways at a boarding house flushes out a clever thief.
But there are also lighter moments such as the family of children riding donkeys at dawn while facing backwards and the party of police officers trying to stay anonymous while on holiday.
