The distinctive Dòchas sound is a tapestry of some of the finest Gaelic, Highland and Scottish Music, all blended effortlessly into one exciting musical experience.

Influenced strongly by the band member's backgrounds, Dòchas (the Scottish Gaelic word for "hope") perform music from the Outer Hebrides, Shetland and the Highlands plus drawing on their natural links to Ireland, particularly Donegal.

Made up of some of the finest ambassadors for Scottish music, the band represent all that is vibrant about the Scottish Music scene today.

Honest and pure interpretations of Gaelic song with creative and sympathetic piano accommpaniment, plus "barn-stomping" tunes driven by the pipes, fiddle and bodhrán.

Dòchas is made up of the multi award-winning Kathleen Boyle, BBC Radio 2 Horizon Winner Julie Fowlis, renowned Highland piper Carol-Anne Mackay, innovative Shetland fiddler Jenna Reid and bodhrán virtuoso Martin O'Neill.

Special guest for their dates in October in Scotland and England will be the talented force of Eamon Doorley from Irish band Danú on bouzouki.
