IT'S the day of the royal wedding, which should be the perfect excuse for an old-fashioned cockney knees-up in the Vic (EastEnders, BBC1), even if Linda is refusing to let Mick show the FA Cup as well. Instead, tragedy strikes when two of the Square's younger residents are attacked.
The trouble starts when Keegan steals a bike from a gang, and Shakil tries to keep his friend out of trouble by returning it. Unfortunately, the criminals come looking for Keegan - and when they catch Shakil with the bike, they stab them both.
An injured Shakil tries to raise the alarm, but Mick wrongly assumes he's drunk and fails to listen. Luckily, the landlord does pay attention when he later finds a stricken Keegan and insists on driving the lad to hospital. However, time is running out for Shakil, who has collapsed out of sight...
Meanwhile, Hayley proves she really is a Slater by turning up to the Vic while barred, throwing a drink over Kat and conning a stranger, but she does show her softer side when she takes pity on a homeless girl.
Even in death, Phelan seemingly can't leave Eileen alone. (Coronation Street, ITV). The poor woman is driven almost round the bend by a call from beyond the grave and suffers a series of pranks, both at home and at the cab office, prompting Steve to report the incidents to the police. They advise her to keep a diary of events, but it's Gary who turns detective and discovers what is really going on.
Gary also asks Sarah to befriend Nicola for the sake of his unborn child. She does so, offering the mum-to-be some of Lily's old baby clothes - and they may be needed sooner than anybody expected following a dramatic turn of events.

In Emmerdale (ITV), Ross lets his fists do the talking when he introduces himself to Simon's mate Connor by punching him in the face. So really, Connor only has himself to blame when he recruits the volatile Barton as a dealer, only for the plan to backfire when Ross's car is stolen with the drugs inside.
And while Connor may turn a blind eye to someone hitting him, he's less forgiving about missing narcotics and threatens to take his anger out on Debbie.
But she could be in even greater danger when Ross discovers Simon was paid to keep quiet, leading him to believe that Joe was involved in the acid attack. As Ross sets out to confront Joe armed with a gun, will the businessman take the blame or reveal Debbie's terrible secret? Either way, someone is going to get shot...
Elsewhere, Bob's plan to keep things civil between him and Brenda for the kids' sake threatens to go up in smoke (literally) and Leanna has a bright idea when Jacob and Gabby miss the school bus.
Alfie spruces himself up for a very special assignation with someone he only describes as 'You Know Who'. (Hollyoaks, C4). Perhaps he should have been more specific as it turns out that Tom doesn't actually know who, but assumes he means Yasmine. But when Alfie pushes right past her on his way to the Folly, is he planning to meet someone else?
Glenn has discovered there is a grass, so Adam decides it's the perfect time for him and Maxine to make a very sharp exit.
Sadly, it may not be that simple, as Glenn becomes convinced Zack is the snitch. And when Maxine later tries to call Adam, she gets no answer as he is busy with his father...
