SEVEN days of singing, dancing and drinking are in store for those wanting to celebrate traditional British folk music.
Whitby Folk Week runs from Saturday until August 24 and features more than 600 events, including workshops, concerts, dances, street entertainment and fringe attractions.
Whitby has a wide range of attractions to entertain visitors, including its abbey, the Jet Workshop, Dracula Experience and Captain Cook's cottage.
There are also many excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, and real-ale pubs.
