WILL Summer end up running Underworld (Coronation Street, ITV)? Let's hope so as she's one of the smartest kids on the cobbles. She proves it this week when she spots a miscalculation in Alya's figures, which could have cost Aidan thousands of pounds.
Meanwhile, Gary shows David a remarkable amount of compassion considering the abuse victim almost killed him the other week. He tries to help Platt, and it seems newcomer Emma is also doing a pretty good job of that, much to Maria's horror. She arrives at number eight and finds her in a state of undress with David. It begs two questions: will Emma say yes when he asks her to move in, and how will Shona react?
Billy makes a welcome return to the Street, but with eviction pending, it's a good job the lovely Ms Ramsey is fighting his corner. Elsewhere, the case of a missing key bugs Nicola when she locks herself out and can't find the spare. And when the evil Simon pushes Toyah to breaking point with his back chat, she decides to put an end to his blackmail. A shame it's not with a one-way ticket to a desert island.
In EastEnders (BBC1), Ian and Masood attempt to drum up publicity for their new business venture, only to be upstaged by the grand opening of the new car lot as organised by Max.
Although the local media may be interested, the residents aren't exactly falling over themselves to lend their support - even Jack isn't happy to see him. Mick and Linda also make it clear that Max isn't welcome in the Vic (although given that two of his kids died falling off the pub's roof, we can't see why he would want to spend time there anyway), but he remains determined to turn his life around.
Bianca summons Tiffany back to Milton Keynes, but the teen is having too much fun stirring up trouble to go. However, she thinks it might be time to start packing when Arshad's foster child Harley is kidnapped by his biological parents, and Masood blames Tiffany for posting the baby's photo online.
Meanwhile, the Slaters manage to blag cleaning trials at E20 and the Vic, but will they mainly be cleaning the bars out of their booze?
In theory, Emmerdale's vets (ITV) are there to care for sick animals, but it seems they've unwittingly created a side line in supplying drugs to the locals. After Liv and Gabby pocketed some ketamine the other week, it's now Ross's turn to help himself.
Rhona, who also has form for nicking animal tranquilisers, realises what he's been up to and encourages Pete to deal with his brother's self-destructive behaviour by supporting him at his attacker's trial. But when a key witness is unable to appear (because they've died, which is a pretty good excuse), will Ross get the justice he needs? And will anyone work out how Debbie fits into the crime?
Tracy joins a task force aimed at tackling sexual assault, which brings her into contact with Bails. Charity warns him to keep away, but he has a shocking proposition for her.
Elsewhere, Dan is furious when Daz takes it upon himself to break some tragic news to Amelia. Doug learns of Laurel's affair, Graham takes a shine to Megan, and Jimmy meets a sex therapist.
We guessed it the moment she returned to Ramsay Street (Neighbours, C5), but our suspicions are confirmed this week when it's finally revealed exactly why Jane Harris is back in town.
She wants to dig up the Rebecchis' back garden. Not because she's a keen horticulturist, but because something is hidden there - the property, of course, once belonged to her Nan, the infamous Mrs Mangel, so whatever it is must have been there for some time. Unfortunately, finding whatever it is doesn't do her any good, because Karl later finds her on the scene unconscious.
When Terese confirms she will never sell her Lassiter's shares to Paul, he drives a wedge between her and Gary. However, there could be hope for their relationship when he turns up at the hospital ahead of her appointment.
Meanwhile, the Face of Lassiter's contest gathers momentum and Elly goes out on a date with a new man - but his charm hides a secret.
