LAST week saw the ninth studio album release from Brad Paisley, who over the past 15 years has carved a niche in the history of country music. Paisley is a critically-acclaimed singer, songwriter and guitarist whose talents have gained him more awards during those years than many would dare to think of.
To date he is the proud recipient of three Grammys, two American Music Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, and 14 Country Music Association Awards. Added to that, since 1999 he has had 22 number one singles in the charts and written or co-written 19 of them and you realise he has talent with a capital T.
That talent once again abounds in his new release and features collaborations with fellow country icons Carrie Underwood and EmmyLou Harris. It's an eclectic mix of music as he fires his way through varied offerings of moods ,thoughts and stories with fast as lightning licks to accompany his vocals.
As a current judge on the US talent show Rising Star, which is similar to our X Factor, the contestants will have to be on their toes to match his talent, especially if they listen to his latest release.
This is Paisley at his most musically magnificent.
