AFTER a troubled start to life, Bear Hands are about to release this their second album.
Problems away from the recording studio put paid to initial success, but they are back on track and with Distraction, the Brooklyn foursome are ready to take on all-comers.
Playing both the Reading and Leeds Festivals at the end of the week, their blend of pop, punk psychedelia should see them garner a whole host of new fans.
All tracks have their merit, but it is Giants that should really resonate with the crowd. A declaration of love that makes little lyrical sense, it has hooks that remain with you long after we’ve moved on to the next song.
If you get the chance, see them in action, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
