TELLIER’S fifth album is timely given its Brazilian theme.
The French singer, songwriter and multi-intrumentalist describes this release as “a reinvention of childhood”. If true, it would certainly seem an idyllic place to be.
Recorded in part at Jean-Michel Jarre’s studios, there are clearly echoes of him in this, but in the main it is fresh and original.
People can get a bit stuffy about instrumentals, but Tellier, who has worked with the likes of Daft Punk and Air, should challenge such preconceptions.
