IF recent coverage of the Glastonbury Festival has left you hankering for a weekend of cool music in beautiful, rolling farmland then it’s time to get your tickets for next month’s Beacons Festival.
Highlights of the critically-acclaimed event, which takes place on the edge of the stunning North Yorkshire Dales, include Daughter, Jon Hopkins, Neneh Cherry, Nightmares on Wax, Charli XCX, Darkside, Toy, Joan as Policewoman and The Fall.
Among the special attractions are cult indie stars British Sea Power who will be performing From the Sea to the Land Beyond, as well as loads of emerging acts for you to discover.
DJ sets feature the likes of Dixon, Dave Haslam, Daniel Avery, and A Love From Outer Space aka Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston.
Away from the tunes you can dip into a host of tasty attractions including street food stalls, local craft beers, films, lectures, art installations or even morning yoga classes to set you up for the day ahead. The kids' area has doubled in size this year and there's now a youth cinema, a workshop tent and a diverse entertainment programme for teens.
It all takes place in the bucolic setting of Heslaker Farm near Skipton from Thursday August 7 to Sunday 10.
At the time of going to press, adult weekend tickets including camping were still available at £99.50. There is also a family-friendly buy-five-get-one-free deal.
