THE fifth studio album from Elliot Gleave, aka Example, is influenced by the past three decades of dance music. Managing to create heavy synth Eighties nostalgia with Only Human, and a Nineties backdrop to accompany the 32-year-old’s vocals on One More Day (Stay With Me), the album will appeal to dance music lovers. That’s not to say the album isn’t contemporary and fresh.
Singles Kids Again and All The Wrong Places are the epitome of today’s dance scene. It is the last track, the very appropriately named Longest Goodbye, that is a surprise highlight. Live Life Living is exciting, varied and different enough from other dance albums to make it really stand out.
