LISTENING to the Swedish sisters’ music could transport you back in time, with their songs not appearing out of place alongside Sixties singer Gram Parsons and his ilk.
Johanna and Klara Soderberg’s third album Stay Gold sees their exquisite brand of harmonious country-fried folk return with album opener My Silver Lining picking up beautifully where previous release The Lion’s Roar left off. Title track Stay Gold and the dreamlike Waitress Song add to the blissful listening experience. There are few other artists currently creating music like this, and certainly none doing it as well as First Aid Kit.
