AN original new play written by a Yorkshire-based theatre company will be performed at Richmond’s Georgian Theatre Royal.
The Book was devised by Flying Cloud, set up by Leandra Ashton, who was born in Kuwait but grew up in Richmond.
Following her studies at Cambridge University and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and working as an actress, she decided to set up her own theatre company.
Flying Cloud also gives communication training to Yorkshire businesses, including regular workshops at York Theatre Royal.
The company’s business work has meant it has been able to self-fund the development of the new play, which follows the lives of three characters whose lives are intertwined through a book.
The Book will be performed at the Georgian Theatre Royal on Saturday, June 21 at 7.30pm.
Contact 01748-825252 or georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk for tickets, costing from £7 to £20.
