THE C2C Country to Country Festival takes place at London’s O2 Arena next weekend. It follows the success of last year’s one-day event when many modern country music acts visited London.
This time, the line-up is outstanding and headlined by the Grammy awardwinning artists Brad Paisley and the Zac Brown Band and the festival is over two days – Saturday and Sunday, March 15 and 16.
Paisley is a critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, guitarist and entertainer who, with 22 No 1 singles in the US, returns to The O2 after a triumphant show there in 2011. He tops the bill on the Sunday while the Zac Brown Band headline the Saturday performance which has already sold out. They appeared at the Glastonbury festival last year, but this will be their very first UK arena show.
Saturday will also see the return of country superstars, the Dixie Chicks, who will be performing in the UK for the first time in eight years. Other top names on the Saturday show are Martina McBride and Dierks Bentley.
Rascall Flatts, The Band Perry and Chris Young complete Sunday’s lineup.
This new event, which replaces the Wembley Festival from the country calendar of years ago, is a great opportunity for music fans to see some of America’s finest musicians under one roof. There will also be a plethora of acts from around the world, including Ireland and the UK, on special stages around the arena.
