DOLLY PARTON Tour dates have been announced for the month of June. To coincide with the release of her new album Blue Smoke, Dolly Parton returns to the UK with the Blue Smoke World Tour.
Starting at the Echo Arena Liverpool on June 8, she works her way through 16 dates in England and Ireland culminating in a final show at the Nottingham Arena on Wednesday, July 2.
When it comes to iconic singer/ songwriters, musicians, writers, entrepreneurs, this lady of country music has to be one of the finest and most well known. From humble beginnings she has put her stamp on her music and the modern world, with more awards and accolades than can be counted.
To date, she scores 23 No 1 singles, with 106 released and charted, 42 studio albums, five live albums, 24 compilation albums and many DVDs.
The wonderful thing about her is that although she has always been classed as a country singer, her music has crossed all musical genres and that’s enabled her to fill to arenas around the world.
She appears at the MetroRadio Arena, Newcastle, on Saturday, June 14 before heading north to dates in Scotland.
If you wish to treat yourself to a night of memorable entertainment, make sure you book your tickets early, and be prepared for a rather long wait to exit the car parks after the show as this lady knows how to “pack them in”.
You’ll probably be singing her songs on the way home whether you’re a country fan or not.
