Don Williams: Reflections, Sugar Hill Records
OVER the years Don Williams’ laidback styling and gentle approach to quality songs have gained him fans around the world, many who would never normally listen to country music.
This, of course, has given him incredible cross-over status and multimillion record sales.
This ten-song mix of well-chosen and beautifully-produced songs is a welcome return for his patient fanbase. Williams also embarks on a series of dates here in England with the North-East date being at The Sage Gateshead on May 14.
He received country music’s greatest honour by being inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2010 and you will realise that he has carved a niche in a large part of country music history.
His new album contains great songs from some of the best songwriters around including Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Merle Haggard and Jesse Winchester to name only a few.
A preview of three tracks is on this weekend’s American Connection Show by logging on to americanconnection.euvue.co.uk
