I WAS going to say listening to Caro Emerald was a guilty pleasure, but why should it be guilty? A refreshing alternative to much of what passes for chart music these days, this second album is destined to appeal as much, if not more, than her debut, Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor.
The Dutch diva, takes Paris as her inspiration for this latest outing, the songs all soaked with a sassiness that few can match.
The single, Tangled Up, has received copious amounts of airplay on Radio Two, her natural home, but there are plenty of others among the 13 that are its at least its equal.
Jazz has never been so enticing.
