WHEN Sean Spencer asks Megan to light up his life he doesn’t expect to find himself plugged into a live electrical circuit.
He turns into a right little jumping Jack flash during the latest confrontation with Megan in Emmerdale (ITV1).
Let’s start at the beginning.
Imagine one of those “One hour earlier” captions appearing on screen.
Sean’s beloved dog Meg is found dead and the poor lad is beside himself with grief. So much so, that the troubled teen takes it out on Brook Cottage, lobbing a brick through the window, breaking in and trashing the place. Enter Megan with whom he’s already had dealings. It’s fair to say they’re not the best of friends. Indeed, the whole Spencer family has taken against Megan who is, how shall I put this, a bit of a snooty cow.
Sean brandishes a curtain pole in her face, but unluckily catches on an exposed light fitting sending a powerful electric current through his body. How shocking. He collapses to the floor, lifeless.
When the Spencer clan find out what’s happened they’re sure to point the finger of blame at Megan and probably turn her into a standard lamp by plugging her into the socket.
Kirsty still isn’t pregnant in EastEnders (BBC1), which is very inconvenient as she’s told husband Max that she does has a bun in the oven in order to keep her mitts on him. An added problem is that she’s getting mysterious phone calls. To distract Max from asking about them she talks babies which turns out to be a bad idea as Max reminds her about her 12-week scan.
Her idea of saying she’s already had it backfires when Max wants to see the snaps. Kirsty saying she didn’t want to pay for a blurry picture is as lame as that nag that lost the 3.30 at Sandown Park.
It gets worse. Max tells her he’s booked a photo session at a private clinic with 3D scanning so they can go together. It’ll just be like watching the new 3D Star Trek movie, he tells her.
Poor Roy in Coronation Street (ITV1). He finally decides to get in touch with his estranged father St John after receiving a letter that he was ill. That message understated the case – it turns out that St John is not only no saint, but is dead, deceased and departed. Roy and Hayley turn up on the doorstep for a reunion and find a wake instead.
