NORTH-EAST fans of Dame Edna Everage will get the chance to say goodbye to the legendary entertainer, who is the alter ego of Australian Barry Humphries, at Newcastle Theatre Royal, in January next year.
Dame Ednas Eat Pray Laugh! The Farewell Tour visits Tyneside between Tuesday, January 21 and Saturday, January 25.
Newcastle Theatre Royal will be the first date in the iconic performer's 2014 diary following a West End season over Christmas 2013.
Eat Pray Laugh! will give audiences across the country the chance to bid farewell to Humphries, arguably Ozs greatest entertainment export, and his unforgettable characters: the Honorable Sir Les Patterson, Sandy Stone and, of course, the iconic Dame Edna Everage.
Humphries has already taken his final triumphant bow to audiences throughout Australia and New Zealand where, due to extraordinary demand for tickets extra performances were needed for 250,000 adoring fans!
