LIKE me, it’s highly unlikely you were able to get to the gig itself, so this live recording of their 2007 O2 Arena gig is perhaps the closest you will ever get to Robert Plant and company. More than 20 million people applied for tickets, but just 18,000 were lucky enough to see the concert, which was held in honour of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.

I’ve had the video of the 1976 classic Song Remains The Same gig from Madison Square Gardens in my possession for donkey’s years now and it’s practically worn through, so I was interested to see just how well the band – albeit with Jason Bonham on the drums in place of his late father – had stood the test of time all those years on. Trust me, they don’t disappoint.

For a man of 64, frontman Plant still sounds amazing and, thanks to the accompanying DVD, backs up the voice with his trademark stage presence. Jimmy Page still gets the guitar to talk in a way few others can and John Paul Jones is by no means just making up the numbers.

A total of 16 songs are included with little in between to distract you from experiencing a band that was, is, and will remain to be one of the greatest ever to have walked the face of the earth.
