The acclaimed Takacs Quartet joined by cellist Ralph Kirshbaum perform Schubert’s hauntingly beautiful String Quintet. Also recorded is the Quartettsatz, a sterling fragment of a String Quartet in C minor abandoned by the composer. Highly recommended.
