This bargain-priced double CD features all but one track from two enjoyable and swinging LPs by the guitarist with fellow Poll Winners Ray Brown and Shelly Manne and a jazz version of Carmen with mixed success.
Best of all is a selection of songs from Some Like It Hot with an all-star band featuring pianist Jimmy Rowles, trumpeter Joe Gordon and a very inform Art Pepper on clarinet, alto and tenor sax.
