SOMEBODY has clearly not told Green Day that swearing is neither big nor clever. Uno features more expletives than a full-on rant from Malcolm Tucker. Thankfully, it doesn’t detract from what, on the whole, is a pretty impressive release. The first track, Nuclear Family, opens in traditional pop-punk style, but there are some pleasant distractions on the way, including Kill The DJ, which would possess single quality were it not for the fact that the bleep machine would have to work overtime. The album is let down slightly by some of the slower songs, such as Carpe Diem, but overall it’s a return to form.
