A COUNTY Durham man has been appointed UK and Ireland sales manager for Bauer, the crop irrigation and slurry-handling equipment specialist.
Adrian Tindall lives with his wife and two daughters in Newton Aycliffe.
His farming background stems from his father, who had a contracting business in the Darlington area and family dairy farming operations near Whitby.
In his new role, Mr Tindall will look after sales and distribution activities for Bauer linear and pivot crop irrigation systems, the Rainstar and new ProRain reel irrigators, and the extensive Bauer range of farm animal waste pumping, separating and field application equipment.
Mr Tindall said: “Bauer has a world-wide reputation for excellence in its specialist fields. I’m delighted to join a business that provides efficient equipment solutions and puts quality at the forefront of its engineering.”
One of his first objectives is to expand the dealer network for Bauer irrigation and slurry equipment.
“We already have some first-class dealers who really understand the nature of the specialist equipment they supply – whether for irrigating highvalue vegetable and salad crops or handling farm waste materials,” he said.
“But there are pockets where we are not represented locally and my first priority is to fill those gaps.”
He previously worked as a territory manager for a leading North-East parts and sundries supplier and also in machinery ring management.
