MORE than 30 overseas delegates will join thousands of beef farmers at the National Beef Association's (NBA) Beef Expo 2007, at Skipton Auction Mart, on Thursday.
Representatives from Poland, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Nigeria and the Republic of Ireland are expected at an event that has a record 155 trade stands and 23 beef breed society demonstrations.
"Action for Profit" is the theme of this year's event, which includes a comprehensive day-long programme of practical demonstrations, stock judging competitions, a national show of beef cattle, seminars and educational exhibits.
Demonstrations will include diet feeders, mobile mixers, cattle handling equipment, dirty cattle clipping and a butchery demonstration.
A seminar programme will include Environment and Livestock - Income or Inconvenience?; Vision for the Future; Healthier Returns; Feeding for Profit; and Increased Returns Through Marketing.
Keenan and KW Alternative Feeds will give beef master classes from 11am to 3pm, covering all aspects of nutrition.
