A LAW firm has raised more than £16,000 for a number of charities.
Latimer Hinks’ charity ball, held at Wynyard Hall, near Sedgefield, supported St Teresa’s Hospice, the County Durham Community Foundation and a number of smaller charities.
Its success means the company has now raised more than £70,000 through its charity events.
Anne Elliott, marketing partner at Latimer Hinks, which is based in Darlington, said: “It was a fantastic occasion, and I would like to thank everyone who attended or donated to some very worthwhile causes.
“We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of businesses, clients, colleagues and friends who contributed towards the huge amount raised.
“Since our first ball in 1998, we have raised more than £70,000 for some fantastic causes.
“The fact that the 2014 ball was sold out months in advance shows how popular they have become.”
