A LAW firm with offices in the region has advised a North-East company on a sale.

Bond Dickinson, in Newcastle and Stockton, worked with adhesive firm Dynea on the sale of PRC UK, the subsidiary which owns Dynea’s UK-based operations at Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

The sale, to German company Mellifera Zehnte Beteillgungsgesellschaft, was undertaken on behalf of Bond Dickinson’s client, Dynea Chemicals OY, a company registered in Helsinki, Finland.

Philip Ashworth, Bond Dickinson corporate partner, led the team and was supported by associate Matthew Smith and solicitor Sam Malpass.

He said: “We are delighted to have been able to assist Dynea and have a very good relationship with the company.”

Kyosti Siltala, Dynea Group general counsel, added: “We continue to use the Bond Dickinson team and in particular Philip, for his pragmatic approach and experience in this sector.

“We are grateful to Philip and his team for their efforts and look forward to working with them again in the future.”

The deal followed the sale of Dynea's Irish operations, which Bond Dickinson's corporate team also advised on.
