A NORTH-EAST law firm has helped a beauty brand secure a place in a world-renowned store.
Mincoffs Solicitors, in Newcastle, worked with candle and bath oil supplier Maddi Alexander to stock their goods at Harrods.
The deal will see Maddi Alexander's products on sale in Harrods' Urban Retreat department, and comes after Analisa Ariss, the beauty firm's managing director, began working with Mincoffs' commercial team to secure trademarks and distribution arrangements.
Its goods are already stocked in the Fortnum and Mason department store, in London.
Antony Hall, head of Mincoffs' commercial department, said: “More people like Analisa are opting to start their own business, and we have seen a tremendous surge in the amount of commercial legal support we are offering to people in the North-East.
“It has been fantastic to work with Maddi Alexander and see the brand's success, and it is incredible to see a North-East brand in two of the UK's leading department stores.”
Ms Ariss says the support from Mincoffs has been integral in the company attracting international attention.
She said: “The team have been absolutely brilliant and understood the business needs, prioritising what we needed to do immediately and what we would need to do over a five-year period.”
