As part of our Foundation for Jobs campaign, this column is devoted to a young person so they can issue a "give-me-a-break" call to firms.
Name: Kyle Quinn
Age: 18 From: Ferryhill, County Durham.
Studying at: South West Durham Training in Newton Aycliffe.
Looking for: A part-time job.
Kyle went to St Johns Comprehensive School in Bishop Auckland and passed a total of 13 GCSEs. He enrolled on a toolmaking course at South West Durham Training in Newton Aycliffe to pursue his ambition of becoming a toolmarker.
"Family members have inspired me in my career choices. My uncle was a toolmaker who worked at Siemens and is now working out in India. I just enjoy working with the machines. It is a skilled task and I love a challenge.
"It is very much precision working and I hope to come out with a PEA level two certificate at the end of my course."
"I would describe myself as independent and confident and I think I would do a good job for any employer who took me on."
Anyone able to help Kyle is asked to call 01325 505075 or email barry.nelson@nne.co.uk
