From: Originally from East Kilbride, in Scotland, now living in Newton Aycliffe.
Looking for: An engineering company to take him on after he completes his course.
Studying at: South West Durham Training in Newton Aycliffe.
Liam is doing a tool-making course that lasts for six months before that he was living in the Glasgow area, where he passed an HNC in Computer Assisted Design (CAD).
He moved down here in search of a job in toolmarking and engineering and after looking around for three months signed up for a course at South West Durham Training in Newton Aycliffe.
"I love it here. It is brilliant. It is all hands-on and you are not just sitting in a classroom all the time.
"I would say that I am very passionate about engineering. I have had an insight into different types of engineering since I was a kid. My grand-dad was a turner so it is part of my family history. I have pursued an interest in engineering since I was at High School."
