CARVER Commercial completed two significant lettings in Darlington in the run up to Christmas.
Sainsbury’s Supermarkets has taken over premises at 63-65 Duke Street for conversion into a local convenience store.
Building work is currently underway, with the store due to open in March.
Another letting was secured with The Money Shop for premises at 18-19 Bondgate, Darlington. The Money Shop has branches nationwide.
Julie Wallin, director of Carver Commercial, said: “Despite prevailing tough market conditions we are experiencing a high degree of interest in commercial properties across South Durham and North Yorkshire. Both lettings in Darlington town centre were concluded reasonably quickly to the satisfaction of all parties and both occupiers are excellent companies to bring to the town centre area. It represents a strong expression of confidence in Darlington as a good place to do business.”
