INTERNATIONAL fund and asset manager Valad Property Group has sold a 15,000 sq ft industrial unit at Aycliffe Business Park, Newton Aycliffe, on behalf of The Industrial Trust.

Unit 1 Redworth Way has been sold to Northern Corrugated Cases Ltd for £446,500.

Agents King Sturge and Sanderson Weatherall act for Valad on the business park.

Redworth Way consists of a number of refurbished warehouse/ industrial premises, ranging from 9,296 sq ft to 37,454 sq ft.

Industrial packaging specialists, Northern Corrugated Cases, who already have three other sites throughout the UK, required a permanent North- East base for their manufacturing operations.

Aycliffe Business Park is the second largest business park in the North-East at approximately 672 acres and home to over 250 companies.

It has recently attracted a number of both regional and national companies, including Mears Ltd and Lidl.
